Reasons for making the investment.
Every year at Luna And The Lane we see a different demand in our services. In previous years, there has been a consistent flow of both Planning & Styling clients, and those needing extra help with On The Day Coordination.
Certainly over the past 18 months we have seen more uptake of couples opting to do the lion’s share of the planning themselves and realising they need help with the final push and the On the Day coordination itself.
With this trend seeming to continue into 2026, we have also seen a surprising surge of couples from overseas needing our help. I am not sure what the SEO is doing behind the scenes but I am so excited to hop on consultations to find couples from Singapore, USA, Canada and Australia on the other end who are keen to get us on board to manage their planning in the UK.
We love working with couples who want a typical English wedding experience but also want to merge different cultures and traditions into their wedding experiences. This is a big yes from us at Luna HQ because we can then help to make your wedding day unique, thoughtful and all about celebrating you and your values.
How can having a Planner save your mind?
Firstly, an obvious one, Time Zones. Many UK couples struggle to plan a wedding when they are in the same country, so being overseas is bound to make things 10x more difficult. Not only do you have the annoyance of generally being awake whilst we in the UK are asleep and unable to be reached, but then having sent the emails you have to wait for a response like you are stuck in a Groundhog Day-Eurovision-time/space-Vortex. And that’s not a happy place. Unless you are ABBA.
More cake
Having a Planner based in the UK means that you will be able to send them on venue visits. They can see all the things that the venue website doesn’t show you, and having their expertise to see all the logistical things means there shouldn’t be any surprises on your wedding day. It also means that unless you want to, you don’t need to spend your wedding budget on flying here to check things out yourself, which means more dollar to spend on the things you want, like booze…and cake.
Weird legal stuff
Your UK Wedding Planner will know the way things work in the UK. From the legal stuff to the way things are done. We all have our weird traditions and legalities. Of course you aren’t necessarily going to know exactly what choices you have for the Ceremony, but your Planner will be able to guide you through the process and open up a whole world of opportunities that you didn’t know you had. We also know about last orders, weird licensing and that you need to book taxis well in advance if you’re getting married in the back and beyond. No last-minute Ubers when you’re out in the sticks.
We know people.
Don’t have a clue who to book? Of course you don’t. You live in a different country! Planners know loads of people - and good ones too. We have a massive black book containing photographers, bands, cake makers, florists, stationers, make-up artists, tableware suppliers and loads more. We will be able to recommend the very best people locally, who best fit your vibe. This would save you HOURS of admin time and stress.
We’re a hoot
We might be tooting our own horn here, but we think we’re good fun to work with - which can be a pretty important part of the process! Gelling with your suppliers is going to make your whole wedding experience feel so much more relaxed, and our number one goal is to make sure you’re having the best time possible. We’ll have a great time going through the planning process together, we’ll recommend you equally lovely suppliers that will be alongside us on the day, and by the time we get to the big day it will feel like you’ve got an extra friend at the wedding (we promise not to eat too many slices of cake…)
